Help and Guidance

The loss of a loved one is hard and confusing, but we can help.

Making Sense of Loss

Reach out to us via our helpline at 9666 8585 and we will help to assess your situation and assist you immediately.

Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD)

The CCOD is the official document issued by a doctor to certify the cause of death. Contact your family doctor to issue the CCOD. If there is no doctor present, inform us and we will arrange for one. The CCOD is used to register a death with the police, and the death certificate will be issued to you.

The CCOD is issued depending on the location of death.

Location of Death

Home

Contact your family doctor to issue the CCOD. Should there be no doctor to assist, inform us and we will arrange for one for the CCOD to be issued.

Hospital

The attending doctor will determine the cause of death, and an official identification document of the deceased will need to be presented for confirmation of identity.

Unnatural

Should the death be perceived as unnatural and require investigation by the authorities, the deceased will be transported in a police hearse to the Mortuary@HSA which is located at  the Singapore General Hospital, Block 9. The family will be called upon to assist the police in their investigation.

Leave the rest to us

With the CCOD obtained, leave the rest to us. Your loved one will be under our care from hereon, and our funeral directors will take over and assist you throughout. They will guide and advise a variety of options that best suit your needs and wants.
